Visualizing Structures
The visual inspection of 3-dimensional structures of chemical compounds requires graphic tools allowing their real-time manipulation. These tools can interactively rotate, translate and rescale structures for a local inspection of the atomic organization.
They may also provide access to several additional features for structure and surface rendering as well as conformational analysis.
3D Visualization
FM3D is a Unix/Linux-based desktop application for the visualization and manipulation of 3D molecular models such as those obtained by CORINA. This application can browse through structures included in multi-record files, display molecular surfaces and surface properties and assist in conformational analysis studies. FM3D has been designed to meet most of the needs of users dealing with 3-dimensional structures.
